Turning 65... what to do about health insurance?

Once you get your Medicare Part A & B Card you may apply for coverage that will start the 1st day of your birth month, even if you were born on the last day of that month, i.e. born June 26th your Medicare health coverage starts June 1st the year you turn 65. You may sign up for a plan 3 months prior to your 65th birth month and up to 3 months after your 65th birth month - don't wait until the last minute to find the right plan for your situation.
